Dear All

We need at least 8 players. Only 4 have subscribed. So this session is cancelled. Maybe next week. Please let me know by the Tuesday before the session to indicate availability.

Refereeing & Coaching

Walking Football Posted on Mon, April 30, 2018 21:47:47

Hi Everybody,

Whilst the walking football seems to be a growing and popular activity with our members, I think we need to take onboard some of the feed-back in order that the activity can continue to develop in a positive way.
Firstly we are hoping to recruit someone to be a regular referee in order that the rules of the game can be adhered to more closely and we can remove some of the physical contact which could lead to injuries etc. If anyone is interested in refereeing let me or Gary know.
Secondly I am wondering whether people would be intersted in having some coaching sessions? Nothing too technical or intense, but just basic skills so we can encourage and attract novice participants. Let me know what you think!

See you on Thursday,

Apologies for rubbish translation!

As regards football in May, we are away for most of the sessions, but Chris Wilson will lead the activity.

Session 1 is on 3 May. There is 10 Pin Bowling in the evening, but there is time for both.

10 May, no football as it is a Bank Holiday and there will be lots of children around.

Session 2 is 17 May. It clashes with BiLingual Lunch, but most could come.

24 May, no football as it clashes with the Fronsac trip.

Session 3 is 31 May.

If you can come let Chris know by the Wednesday afternoon before the session. If there are not enough players or the weather is bad, Chris will cancel on Wednesday evening.

Chris can be contacted on

Anyone interested in being a regular referee?
